Terms and conditions

Requests that will considerably increase the amount of hours spent on preparation and/or working time will be charged appropriately. Examples that will result in additional time being spent on a portrait would include combining multiple photographs or creating numerous mockup images, incorporating extra features into the artwork such as complex backgrounds or additional detail work, and major alterations such as structural or pose revisions.

Clients will be notified regarding the expected date of completion upon ordering. If there is a considerable wait time, I will request that the client pay a non-refundable deposit of $75 to secure a place on my client waitlist. This deposit will count towards the balance of your portrait. Your order and placement on my client waitlist will not be secured until after the deposit has been received.

Immediately before I begin working on your portrait, I will send an invoice for a 50% deposit towards your balance. Shortly after payment has been received, I will begin working on your portrait. Once work has commenced on your portrait, this deposit is non-refundable. In the event where work has been started, the full deposit amount will be retained as loss of business, to cover the artist’s time, mock-ups, emails, administration, materials, and payment fees. This deposit is non-refundable, but if the portrait must be canceled, an appropriate amount may be used towards a gift voucher.

Your final payment is due upon the completion of your portrait, for which I will send you an invoice for the remaining 50% of the balance plus the cost of shipping. Under no circumstances will any artwork be posted or shipped until the full payment has been received in full.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase. Vouchers can be redeemed toward any commission, print, or item for sale in my shop online. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, cannot be returned for a cash refund, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

All copyrights are retained and owned by the artist. No prints or copies of the artwork shall be made or profit gained in any way without the express written consent of the artist. The finished artwork may be used by the client for personal display. When a portrait is commissioned, I reserve the right to display the artwork on my website and share my work on social media. Clients must notify me before work begins if they do not wish for their portrait to be shown online.
